The Director General of the #UPU, Bishar A. Hussein, noted in his opening remarks: “We will defeat this pandemic.” The Deputy Director General of the UPU, Pascal Clivaz, warned that work needed to be done to ensure that developing nations had access to the right #postal tools, and that inclusion would remain at the heart of the Union.

In the last three days the #POC established its #structure, based on 4 committees and their respective working groups:

After three days of intensive work, the newly appointed chair of the POC, Jean-Paul Forceville, concluded that: “It is vital that work gets started quickly because the sector has changed so quickly. The UPU needs to be in a place to keep up with these #changes.” The first results of the initiated work are scheduled for presentation at the upcoming POC #plenary in late March 2022.
