Major problem for all parcel box manufactors

A major problem for all parcel box manufacturers, perishable food capable or not, is that most consumers do not know this solution and the carrier’s reluctance to “help” financing the build-up of such an infrastructure.
For the carrier’s, delivery cost savings of € 0.50 to € 0.78 can be achieved on standard parcels and between € 2 to € 6 per food delivery when a parcel box is available at the consumers home.
Time slots will be a thing of the past and route planning will be a piece of cake, with no AI really required.
Traffic congestion and emissions will be improved at the same time. It is a win-win-win for consumers – environment – carriers.
Once a coverage of +40% with parcel boxes (or other unattended delivery options) has been reached, delivery can run in two shifts, thereby cutting capex in fulfillment centers, and rolling material with some 50%!
There is a reason for Amazon to push to get prime members to install their garage key solution and to equip apartment building with lobby access.
The future will be two prices. One with box and one without, and no more driving to OOH’s.
