In a recent meeting, the CEFTA Expert Group on Customs E-commerce made significant progress. They discussed plans for improving the way the Customs administrations are handling the customs procedures for online purchases, making it smoother and more in line with EU standards. Valuable insights were shared by CEFTA Parties, sharing lessons from their experiences and ongoing pre-arrival processing (PAP) projects. CEFTA Parties are committed to improving how we handle customs operations, making it seamless for all.
Additionally, experts introduced two important ideas: the Postal Prosperity Zone (PPZ), a collaboration to make shipping and handling packages better, and EU Customs Reform, which aims to simplify how we handle taxes and paperwork when goods move across borders in Europe. These changes will make things more straightforward and efficient for everyone involved.
