UPU Deputy Director General Marjan Osvald#ConsultativeCommittee (CC) Chair Walter Trezek, CC Secretary Alexander T. and two CC members, Eurora and SHOPRUNBACK Returns, visited the HQ of Morocco Post Poste Maroc (Barid Al Maghrib) in Rabat for a high-level meeting with Morocco Post, #Morocco Customs, and World Free Zones Organization („World FZO“), which focused on the benefits that collaboration within the unique framework of new postal prosperity zones (PPZ) can bring in terms of adding value and increasing revenues for Posts, Customs and #WorldFreeZone members as well as fostering postal growth and business success at the national level.

These benefits will be studied further through a pilot project, analysing ways to streamline the air and maritime #cargo of Morocco Post. A business model and a roadmap for this pilot project, which will be led by Morocco Post and Morocco Customs with the support of wider postal sector players, are expected to be presented during a follow-up meeting in Morocco in January 2023.

Stay tuned for more!
