WeCommerce plans to acquire KnoCommerce for USD 2.1 million in cash, marking its third announced acquisition since it went public on the TSXV in December 2020. This is WeCommerce’s ninth acquisition overall.
Standard Chartered Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking is ready to enter the ecommerce space in Kenya with the expansion of Solv, their B2B marketplace first launched in India. Solv is a platform meant to helps MSMEs trade goods with each other, expand their customer base, and digitise their businesses.
Rakuten has announced the launch of an NFT market, after launching a crypto exchange in 2019 and integrating crypto payments in its Rakuten Pay app, in 2021.
Besides, eBay has also decided to accept cryptocurrency payments soon, aiming to attract younger customers.
Lastly, PPRO has released a report regarding the global ecommerce market. According to this, customers need retailers to care about their preferences. About 40% of shoppers are looking for authentic, genuine shopping platforms that provide cultural integration and appeal to a global audience, instead of heavily orientating towards the US customers.
