Digital Conference for the Eastern Partnership

„Imagine for a moment life in this pandemic without digital…” as European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in her State of the Union address last year. Today, I am proud to congratulate our #EU4Digital team at @EY and EU4Digital partners and friends with a successful first ever Digital Conference for the Eastern Partnership. The conference brought together more than 300 participants, including national and EU officials, and other public and private sector stakeholders involved in the digital transformation in the Eastern partner countries. Special thanks to the speakers, including Katarina Mathernova, 💢Aleksander Poniewierski, Valeriya Ionan, Riaz Shah, Antoaneta Angelova-Krasteva, Andrejs Dombrovskis, Valeriya Ionan, Jesus Lozano, Walter Trezek, Stephen Somerville, Lejla Sadiku and more. With this milestone, we are kicking off the 3d annual #EU4Digital Steering Committee to take stock of the results achieved under the initiative in the sectors of telecom rules, trust and security, eTrade, ICT innovation, eHealth, eSkills and eGovernance. By reusing EU solutions and developing partnerships with other international organisations, we are building a more sustainable basis for integration of Eastern partners into EU digital markets, EU value chains and EU economies. #StrongerTogether
