𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲: 𝗘-𝗯𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆

Parcel delivery via bikes is now a common standard in the world. Bike delivery is an environmentally friendly way of parcel delivery that has proven excellent, especially for last-mile delivery in urban areas.

And what´s more, equipped with bikes we can reach customers unreachable by car—for example, those who live in historical parts of towns.

In April 2022, we tested E-bike delivery for the first time. Now, we can share some of the most exciting findings from the testing phase:
► Compared to regular delivery by car, the e-bike daily saves 10,4 kg CO2e.
► The parcel storage box at the front of the bike has a capacity of 380 liters which stands for approximately 50 medium-sized parcels.
► The bike alone with an empty storage box weighs about 200 kilos.
 ► Couriers on bikes can deliver between 60 to 70 parcels a day and they can cover up to 80 kilometers.

Currently, with Zásilkovna s.r.o., we are using the E-bike delivery for last-mile home delivery across Prague 15 with expansion plans for the second half of 2022.
