โ Cross-borderย #ecommerceย is subject to increasingย #complianceย #requirementsย associated withย #digitalizationย and purchasingย #fragmentation
Digitally interconnecting essentialย #supplychainย processes such asย #customsย andย #importduties, and indirectly related topics such asย #sustainability, theย #circulareconomy, andย #wastemanagement, have significantly increased theย #demandsย made of stakeholders along the ecommerce supply chain. As a result, the exchange of standardized and harmonized electronic data (#EAD) sent in advance to competent authorities is becoming mandatory. โ ERGP (European Regulators Group for Postal Services) to engage withย #stakeholdersย on 27 September 2023

As numbers ofย #consignmentsย imported across the EU customs border have decreased significantly in recent months, there is clearly room forย #improvement.ย #Disruptionsย such as those caused by the introduction of theย #VATpackageย andย ย Import Control Systems should be avoided in future.ย

It is designed to as an aid for overcoming complexity and was drawn up by an EY-led consortium with extensive involvement by CLS / Walter Trezek.

It provides a comprehensive overview of the legal andย #regulatoryframeworkย and the relevant standards andย #ecosystemsย being deployed, including global (#UPU,ย #WCO,ย #ISO) treaties, and compliance and conformity between the different applicable legal sources.ย
