Economic sector records decline in shipment volume

According to a study conducted by BIEK in Germany, CEP businesses are experiencing declining consignment volumes, especially in the B2C sector. However, the amount of deliveries being fulfilled is still above pre-pandemic level. Although forecasts predict a slight rise in consumer demand in the second half of the year, numbers are highly dependent on the ongoing war in Ukraine, energy prices, personal income, and the general public mood to spend money.
