Ecommerce Europe publishes its updated position on the Customs reform and third-country imports

Ecommerce Europe published a new position paper on the Union Customs Code revision and the third-country imports.

E-commerce goods directly imported by consumers in the EU have surged in recent years and are expected to continue growing in volume. According to EU data, 4.6 billion low value consignments were imported in the EU in 2024, which corresponds to over 12 million parcels per day.

In our latest position paper, we support the measures introduced by the Commission, and table some improvements to make sure proposed rules are effective, proportionate and applied in consistency with a strengthened IOSS and customs environment.
