Take part in our campaign!

Dear members of Ecommerce Europe,

Today, we launched a full animation video on the Vertical Block Exemption Regulation (VBER) and dual pricing in particular.

The video has been added to our VBER campaign website which we have launched on 17 January. We have shared the video and the website via our social media channels: Twitter and LinkedIn.

The current VBER will expire this June. The Commission’s new VBER proposals would allow suppliers to sell their goods to retailers at different wholesale prices depending on the distribution channel – so-called ‘dual pricing’. In line with our position paper, the campaign highlights the issues for retailers, especially SMEs, should dual pricing be allowed.

The goal is twofold: (1) raise awareness among businesses about the practical implications of dual pricing ban on their operations, and (2) a call to action to businesses and associations to contact their national regulators to urge them to maintain the ban on dual pricing.

If you have not done so yet, we would appreciate if you could help raise visibility about the video and the campaign via your own channels. For national associations, as the VBER is highly technical, and this campaign attempts to demonstrate the issues in a very practical manner, we also very much encourage you to share the campaign with your members.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

You can download the video (with subtitles in English, Italian, Spanish, German and French) and social media teasers here.
