In today’s Hashtag#ecommerce Hashtag#ecosystem, data is king and seamless Hashtag#dataintegration is now standard. Suppliers, Hashtag#marketplaces, and Hashtag#customs authorities demand real-time, standardized electronic advanced data (Hashtag#EAD) to ensure Hashtag#compliance, Hashtag#tracking and Hashtag#riskmanagement. However, many Designated Operators (Hashtag#DOs) cannot meet these expectations, leaving them at a disadvantage in the cross-border Hashtag#logistics landscape.

Until recently, the Hashtag#UPU IT system has been a closed ecosystem for DO-to-DO Hashtag#exchange. Some DOs have tried to integrate suppliers into their domestic Hashtag#IT systems but have not remained Hashtag#competitive.

Worse still, the unique advantage of the UPU’s real-time data exchange system – Hashtag#global coverage and access to all DOs, based on, one Hashtag#integration, one ID (S10), and harmonized global Hashtag#standards – was lost in this attempt to create isolated solutions.

​𝗣𝗣𝗭: 𝗨𝗣𝗨-𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗧 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗢𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀

The Postal Prosperity Zone (Hashtag#PPZ) Initiative is designed to overcome this Hashtag#challenge. The PPZ Pilot Project in Morocco has already created an IT solution that can be adopted by all DOs.

The PPZ IT solution is a new PPZ Hashtag#interface which Hashtag#standardizes the integration of commercial suppliers with the UPU’s existing Hashtag#IPS/CDS system.

The solution is fully compliant with UPU Hashtag#regulations and global UPU / Hashtag#WCO Hashtag#datamodels. The model was developed by the PPZ Morocco Project Management Office in close Hashtag#collaboration with the UPU PTC, and is currently being tested by Hashtag#SFExpress.

For a PPZ DO, it now no longer matters whether the data is sent from another DO or a commercial supplier.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝗧 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀

For DOs, IT integration is more than a technological upgrade – it’s a survival Hashtag#strategy.

By joining the PPZ, DOs no longer need to rely on intermediaries or to develop costly new IT systems to integrate with Hashtag#commercialsuppliers.

Suppliers get what they have always wished – standardized access to the postal world (DOs active in the PPZ) using “one interface, one label, one Hashtag#ID”, without needing individual integrations with the local IT systems of DOs, often in small Hashtag#markets.

This is truly a win-win.
