Product Liability Directive: European industry calls for a major rethink

Ecommerce Europe co-signed an industry letter on the Product Liability Directive ahead of the start of the trilogue negotiations. We ask policymakers to consider a major rethink of the current revision.

In the letter, we advocate for:
📌 Limiting the alleviation of the burden of proof;
📌 Introducing solid safeguards for the disclosure of evidence;
📌 Creating a scope fit for purpose.
